A Terms of Call is set up for pastoral staff. This call is a relationship between a minister/pastor and a congregation based on a call of the Holy Spirit.
A Terms of Call to a Pastorate document sets out practical details of the call to a pastorate between a pastor and a church. As this is not an employment relationship, the rights and obligations of an employment relationship do not apply.
Individual Employment Agreements
This form of agreement is normally used for all staff other than pastoral leaders. However, churches may agree with a pastor to opt for an employment based Individual Employment Agreement (IEA).
